OCIA stands for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is made up of a sequence of rites* (i.e. rituals) that, in conjuction, fully initiate an adult into full communion with the Catholic Church.

In addition to these rites, adults are also brought together into a number of classes in order to learn the basics of Catholicism and what it looks like to live a Catholic life. These classes give an introduction to complex topics such as prayer, the sacraments, the Trinity, the story of salvation, heaven and hell, sin and grace, vice and virtue, the liturgical year, etc.

Any seeking to grow in their relationship with God would benefit from OCIA classes.

There is no cost for this program.
