Confession
The Sacrament of Confession is the ordinary means by which Catholics confess grave sin, receive absolution, and are restored to communion with God and His Church. In this sacrament, the penitent comes before Christ with contrition, confesses his sins to a priest, receives a penance, and is absolved through the ministry of the Church.
Confession is not merely self-improvement or spiritual advice. It is a sacrament instituted by Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Every Catholic conscious of mortal sin is bound to receive this sacrament before receiving Holy Communion. Regular confession is also strongly encouraged for growth in holiness, discipline, and conversion of life.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is occasionally offered during Sunday masses in the confessional at the back of the main chapel.
Examination of Conscience
Before approaching the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the faithful are encouraged to make a careful examination of conscience in the light of God’s commandments, the teachings of the Church, and the duties of their state in life. This prayerful reflection helps us recognize our sins with humility, awaken true contrition, and prepare to make a sincere confession. Trusting in the mercy of Christ, we come before the Lord seeking forgiveness, healing, and the grace to amend our lives.
